Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using The Answer Mate. By signing up and using our service you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Who We Are

The Answer Mate Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. Our service provides AI-powered missed call handling and lead capture for tradespeople in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@theanswermate.com.

2. The Service

The Answer Mate provides an automated AI assistant that handles missed call enquiries on your behalf via SMS. The service collects caller details, qualifies leads, and sends you a summary. We do not guarantee that every missed call will result in a lead, or that all leads provided will result in paid work.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details. You must provide accurate information when signing up. You must be at least 18 years old and a UK-based business or sole trader to use this service.

4. Subscription and Payment

• The Answer Mate is offered on a monthly or annual subscription basis at the prices shown on our website.
• Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• Annual subscriptions are billed upfront and include 2 months free.
• Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled.
• A one-time setup fee may apply as shown at the time of purchase.

5. Free Trial

New customers may be offered a free trial period as shown on our website at the time of signup. No charge will be made until the trial period ends. You may cancel during the trial period without charge. After the trial ends your subscription will begin automatically.

6. Cancellation and Pausing

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing us.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are given for unused time on monthly plans.
• You may pause your subscription for up to 2 months. Billing is suspended during a pause and resumes automatically when the pause ends.
• Annual subscriptions cancelled mid-term are not refunded except within the 30-day money-back guarantee period.

7. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with the service within the first 30 days of your paid subscription (excluding free trial periods), contact us at hello@theanswermate.com and we will issue a full refund. This applies to your first payment only.

8. Your Responsibilities

As a user of The Answer Mate you are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the legal right to collect personal data from your callers in accordance with UK GDPR and PECR
• Informing your callers that their enquiry is being handled by an automated AI assistant where required by law
• Setting up call divert correctly on your existing mobile number
• Not using the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
• Keeping your account details up to date

9. Data and Privacy

We act as a data processor on your behalf. You act as the data controller for the personal data of your callers. Full details of how we handle data are set out in our Privacy Policy. By using the service you agree to enter into a Data Processing Agreement with us, the terms of which are available on request.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Answer Mate is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Answer Mate Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including loss of business, revenue, or data. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. We will notify you of significant changes by email.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
